The Torrent de Pareis is Mallorca's great canyon — a full day of downclimbs, pools and swims through a deep limestone gorge that ends at the sea at Sa Calobra. It is the island's classic adventure day.

No abseils but plenty of scrambling, jumps and long swims through cold, dark pools; it is committing, with no escape once in. Dry weather is non-negotiable — flash floods have killed here.
Go guided in summer only, from Escorca down to Sa Calobra, and check the forecast obsessively. A wetsuit, a dry bag and a head for exposure are essential.
