Why go

The Terradets gorge cuts through the pre-Pyrenees near Lleida, its grey and orange walls rising straight from the Noguera Pallaresa. It is a classic Catalan winter crag: sunny, sheltered, and full of long, technical single pitches and multi-pitch lines on excellent rock.

What to expect

Vertical to slightly overhanging endurance climbing, much of it in the mid grades, with a short walk-in and reliable winter sun. The Bruixes wall holds the harder and longer routes.

Sectors

What the difficulty bands mean
moderate
Sustained effort or some exposure; comfort on the terrain expected.
hard
Long, technical or serious — experience and the right conditions required.
  1. Ferotgen

    moderate

The mid-grade sector where most days start

  2. Bruixes wall

Long vertical limestone above the reservoir

  3. Paret de les Bruixes multipitch

    hard

Six-pitch classics on the gorge wall

How to start

Base in Cellers or Tremp by the reservoir. A single-pitch sport rack and a 70 m rope cover most of it; bring a guidebook for the many sectors and the multi-pitch approaches.
