Trekking in Preikestolen
Norway
The single most photographed viewpoint in Norway.
the Sierra de Aracena·Spain
Photo: Wikimedia Commons · Wikimedia Commons
The Sierra de Aracena is gentle walking country - chestnut and cork-oak dehesa, cobbled tracks linking whitewashed villages, and black Iberian pigs under the trees. A softer, greener Andalusia.
In season: Oct–Apr · Peak: Mar–Apr, Oct–Nov
Easy, shaded village-to-village walking on old paths, lovely in autumn colour and spring flower. Short days, good food, no altitude.

Base in Aracena or Alajar. Walk the village links - Aracena to Linares, up to the Pena de Arias Montano - on the well-marked PR paths.
