The Jerte is famous for the ten days its million cherry trees flower, but the Garganta de los Infiernos reserve - a staircase of glacial potholes and pools - and the old neveros' paths run all season.
In season: Mar–Jun · Peak: Apr–May
Moderate valley and gorge walking with swimming pools in the reserve; the Neveros path over to the Ambroz is a longer, harder day. Spring blossom is the draw, summer the pools.

Base in Jerte or Cabezuela. The Garganta de los Infiernos from the visitor centre is the classic; come in late March-April for the blossom.
