Centelles holds one of Catalonia's best-known via ferratas, Les Baumes Corcades, a spectacular route of hanging bridges, a via-cable traverse and a long tyrolean across the cliffs, with a shorter, gentler line beside it for the introduction. Close to Barcelona and endlessly popular.
In season: Sep–Jun · Peak: Apr–May, Oct–Nov
Committing cabled climbing with real exposure and big bridge crossings on the hard line; the classic route is shorter and less airy. A helmet, harness and via-ferrata lanyard are essential.

Hanging bridges and a long tyrolean, the famous one
Base in Centelles or drive up from Barcelona. Do the classic line first, or hire a guide who supplies the kit if it is your first ferrata; avoid it after rain.
