Doñana is the continent's most important wetland, where the Guadalquivir meets the Atlantic in a mosaic of marsh, dune and pine holding flamingos, imperial eagles and the last Iberian lynx.

The protected core is entered only on a guided 4x4 crossing of the marismas; the edges have free hides and walkable lagoons. Winter is peak, with the marshes full of water and birds.
