The Cerdanya is a broad, sun-filled valley ringed by tourable peaks: the sweeping north face of Puigmal, the friendly slopes above La Molina on the Tosa d'Alp, and the committing couloirs of the Serra del Cadí opposite. Good snow, long seasons and a relaxed base make it a ski-touring hub.
In season: Jan–Apr · Peak: Feb–Mar
Everything from straightforward skinning above the resorts to steep, exposed couloir descents that need judgement and stable conditions. A continental snowpack, sunny weather, and real avalanche terrain up high.

Committing couloirs on the limestone wall
Base in Puigcerda or Alp. Start on Tosa d'Alp to read the snow, then step up to Puigmal; go with a partner who knows the range or a Pyrenean guide for the Cadí lines.
