Zabrze is the heart of the Silesian coal belt, and its Guido mine takes visitors down in the cage to working levels, including level 320, one of the deepest mine galleries open to visitors in Europe. Nearby, the Queen Luiza adit follows a drainage tunnel travelled partly by underground boat.
In season: Year-round · Peak: Apr–Oct
Guided underground tours in cool, damp galleries with real mining machinery, from short walks to longer routes by boat. Tours run all year and book up at weekends.
